Here we are, we’ve reached a milestone–2%! And thankfully, Getaway lacked Dana Carvey, racism, and turtle impressions. But it was also missing snappy dialogue, thrilling car chases, and characters we cared about. I guess you can’t win them all, can you?

The strongest thing Getaway had going for it was Ethan Hawke, who sleeps on his own likability throughout most of the film. What could we have subjected ourselves to this week? Epic Movie and Left Behind should tell you everything you need to know.

I mean, we’re pushing the needle towards “better” every week, but I’d be damned if these aren’t still some oddball films at this stage.

And speaking of weird films, the next movie we review Battlefield Earth. Strap your thetans in!
