Point Break (1991) was directed by Kathryn Bigelow, written by  W. Peter Iliff and stars Patrick Swayze, Keanu Reeves,  Gary Busey, Lori Petty, John C. McGinley, Anthony Kiedis,  and Tom Sizemore.

We both recognize Point Break as one of the finest films ever made, so we had a great time talking about it. There’s not just one tiny thing that makes it great, either. A lot of little things add up and allow this movie to be more than just a shallow action film. However, it’s still a fun ride that keeps you entertained from start to finish.

We also wander a bit in our early discussion, as you know we like to.

Things We Talk About:

  • Casting Jon Benet
  • Whisky Tango Foxtrot
  • Eureka Seven
  • The Defenders

Questions We Ask:

  • Why is this movie so good?
  • Does Keanu help or hurt this film?
  • Beyond his own charisma, what makes Bodhi such a good character?
  • Is Johnny Utah the best action movie hero name ever?
  • How soon can we watch this again?
